Minneapolis (NRP) Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP)

For nearly two decades, the City of Minneapolis Neighborhood Revitalization Program has been one of the most successful citizen participation programs in the country. Yet as we come to the end of 2007, the Mayor and City Council are setting the stage to end the program that costs the City less than 7/10ths of 1% of the City's 1.6 Billion dollar budget. NRP has leveraged multi-million dollars of home and business improvements, brought many old and new partners together to benefit the city, has provided countless programs and projects city-wide that would not otherwise be available through services provided by the City of Minneapolis.

The efforts of 81 neighborhood groups and over 1000 engaged residents to serve the City of Minneapolis through their NRP organizations, City Council and Mayor Approved Action Plans have been working to better the city by reaching out down to the very neighborhood level to uncover huge community assets in it's volunteers, leveraging dollars and partnerships, and adding a component of community pride and stability that cannot be developed any other way from the towers of City Hall.

This website was established by grateful Minneapolis residents who have participated in the City of Minneapolis NRP program and who believe that NRP should be fully funded and continue long after 2009.

Thank you for visiting this site today and for taking even one action in this effort to let your Council Member and Legislators know that you want them to fully fund NRP and continue it long after 2009 for the benefit of your neighborhood and community!
